The Parlour Football Club (PFC) was formed in 1995, and originally called the Soccer Moms. The Bronx Irish Soccer League welcomed the team, which was long on enthusiasm and short on experience. For two years, the team was actually sponsored by The Parlour on 86th & Broadway; however they no longer sponsor the team, but the name and colors (green & white) remain.
In 1997, the team came in first place in the league, winning the Cup.
PFC’s passion for the sport has taken the team on a traveling tour. In 1999, the team traveled to Ireland with players from the Harps team to play several teams in Dublin & Galway. In 2006, PFC took another road trip, this time to Port of Spain, Trinidad to play a series of games.
In 2011, PFC traveled to Miami, FL to enjoy the weather and play in a mini tournament. Our most recent trip in 2012 was to New Orleans to play with two local teams and enjoy some southern hospitality.
PFC actively supports women’s health and sports. For the past 11 years, the team has played in the "Goals for Life" Tournament in Montclair, NJ. The tournament raises funds for breast cancer research, treatment, education and awareness.
The team continues to be a multi-generational team of players who are passionate for the game of soccer and very much enjoy spending time together.
